
DERA GHAZI KHAN: Dozens of villages submerged in flooding in Dera Ghazi Khan and Rajanpur as the floodwater has destroyed standing crops at thousand acres. According to details, in Taunsa 50 villages were inundated by the floodwater and six men that were swept away by the water were taken out of the flood stream. Twenty-five villages were immersed under water in Dera Ghazi Khan, while the crops at thousands acres were also affected by the floodwater. Meanwhile, in Muhammadpur and Jampur areas of Rajanpur district several villages were submerged and the large tracts of standing crops were destroyed under the water. The flood flow also affected 15-kilometer portion of the Kachhi Canal and construction machinery was also drowned in the water. Twenty-seven workers have been trapped in the floodwater in the area.
