
ISLAMABAD: In occupied Kashmir, Kashmiri leaders expressed their hope that the newly elected Pakistan President, Asif Ali Zardari will pursue the Kashmir issue in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of Kashmiri people.
Welcoming the statement of the Asif Ali Zardari, after he was sworn in as the President of Pakistan, that there would be forward movement on resolving the Kashmir issue and some good news before the general elections in India is expected and the work done through back-channel diplomacy will also be part of the process, senior Kashmiri Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani said that if government of Pakistan had convinced Indian leadership to consider Jammu and Kashmir a disputed territory, the forward movement on the issue is possible, KMS reported.
