
FBI has confirmed that the missing Pakistani American doctor Afia Siddiqui has been in the US custody. Dr. Afia Siddiqui has been missing for last five years with her three children while travelling from Karachi to Islamabad. American lawyer of the Siddiqui family Elaine Whitefield in an email to Pakistani journalists told that an FBI agent visited the house of Dr. Siddqui’s brother in Houston on Thursday and told him that his sister has been in the US detention facility in Afghanistan in an injured condition. “No further details provided to the family about the overall condition of Dr. Siddiqui and her children,” the lawyer said. Dr. Afia Siddiqui was missing while travelling with her three children from Karachi to Islamabad five years ago.
