Govt. silence on Afia Siddiqui annoying: Burni

KARACHI: Chairman of Ansar Burni Welfare Trust, Syed Saram Burni said Thursday government’s five-year silence over Dr. Afia whereabouts was disappointing. He deplored the role of Pakistani government on the issue of Dr. Afia Siddiqui. He said why government remained silent on her disappearance for five years and why they tried to give it a color of kidnapping.He said US always behaves like a champion of human rights and makes lot of hue and cry over violence against women in developing courtiers but in its own country a Pakistani woman was made victim of worst violence.
