Seven army men among 16 killed in Tripoli blast
BEIRUT: An explosion killed 16 people including seven soldiers in the northern Lebanese port city of Tripoli Wednesday morning, a security official said, updating an earlier toll.A bus carrying army men was target of the attackers, according to the officials.Injured were shifted to hospital while security has been beefed up in the area. "16 people were killed and 24 were injured in the bombing," the official said without providing further details.Tripoli was the scene of sectarian fighting that left 23 dead last month.
