Foreign reserves improve by $210 mn
KARACHI: The foreign reserves of the country climbed to 9.10 billion dollars, showing an increase of 210 million dollars during the last three days of the week ended on September 6, 2008.According to figures released by State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), 5.72 billion dollars are with SBP while the commercial banks hold 3.37 billion dollars.Bankers say the government’s step of reducing the imports coupled with the rise in foreign remittances once again pushed the foreign reserves level above the psychological barrier of 9 billion dollars.
