Scattered rain likely in many areas
ISLAMABAD: Meteorological Office Thursday forecast thunderstorm and rain in most parts of the country during next 24 hours. Rain with thunderstorm is also expected in the federal capital on Friday. Met Office said a shallow westerly wave is present over Kashmir and adjoining areas. Monsoon currents from Arabian Sea are reaching Upper of the country. Seasonal low persists over Northwest Balochistan and adjoining areas. In Kashmir, including earthquake affected areas and Northern Areas scattered thunderstorm and rain is likely during next 24-48 hours. In NWFP, scattered thunderstorm and rain may occur during next 24 hours. Dry weather is expected in most parts of Sindh and Balochistan during next three to four days. Maximum temperature recorded on Thursday was Islamabad 33 ©, Lahore 30, Karachi 32, Peshawar 33, Quetta 35, Muzaffarabad 33, Murree and the highest maximum temperature was recorded in Nokundi 41 ©.
