
ISLAMABAD: The bodies of 13 refugees, most of them Pakistanis, believed to have suffocated to death, were found Wednesday morning near a village not far from Turkish city of Istanbul. It appeared that they were travelling in the back of a lorry where they suffocated. Their bodies were then dumped in a field near the village of Kayabasi. Turkish forensic officers investigate the scene where thirteen illegal immigrants were found dead. Turkish police said. They were among 80 people from Pakistan and Myanmar who were crammed into the vehicle in the eastern province of Van for a 1,650-kilometre (1,025-mile) clandestine journey to Istanbul.The truck was carrying 138 illegal immigrants through Istanbul, Turkey's largest city, local official Dogan Azat told the state-run news agency.
