Govt facing uprising in Matni, Swat: Bilour

PESHAWAR: NWFP Senior Minister Bashir Bilour said Thursday government was facing insurgency in Matni and Swat. Addressing a ‘Independence Day’ ceremony in Peshawar, he said that objective to pass a resolution against President Pervez Musharraf from all provinces was to show the world that he had lost majority.He said government was facing uprising in Matni and Swat. Maulana Sufi Muhammad was released despite external pressure and peace agreement was signed. However, some powers challenged writ of the government and violated the agreement. Government launched operation in response, he added.
